Overview
This article explains the steps you must work through on Results Day (August 2026) to ensure that your Exam grades are uploaded and set up correctly.
Prerequisites
You must be an administrator.
Instructions
-
Work through the steps listed in Sisra Analytics: KS4 - How do I prepare / set up Sisra Analytics for the Summer Exams 2026? (Admin), including opting in to Sisra Analytics' 25/26 Exams Data Collaboration.
-
Ensure you upload your exam grades, from DATA > KS3/4 and cohort > Grades > Uploads > Exams:
Banked exam grades
- Check you have uploaded your students’ banked Exams, for example, early entries or off-site exams.
- Ensure the Exams Date of each file reflects when these were sat (to determine first entry rules), or the results date on individual grades (where appropriate).
Summer Results
- Prepare your summer results file in Excel, containing Student ID, Student Name, Qualifications, and Grades, and save as either a CSV, XLSX, XLS or XML file.
- Upload your Summer results.
- Set new qualifications to New on the Confirm Upload Qualification Names page. See Sisra Analytics: What is the Confirm Upload Qualification Names page? (Admin) for further information.
Use Find & Replace or filtering in Excel to rename your qualification names to match those on the Matching page, making the upload process smoother.
See Sisra Analytics: How do I upload Standalone Grades? (Admin) for further information.
-
In DATA > KS3/4 and cohort > Students > Classes, if you have uploaded grades for new qualifications, ensure they’re assigned to the correct set of classes.
See Sisra Analytics: Assigning Qualifications to Classes (Admin) for further information.
- Open DATA > Select KS3/4 and Current Yr 11 > Grades > Matching.
-
Select Edit. You should have one row for each qualification.
-
For all appropriate qualifications:
-
Set Include to Yes.
-
Assign the correct EAP with appropriate and Grade Method.
-
For access to the Data Collaboration (when released) ensure those qualifications listed under Current have Use QN enabled and are matched to the correct QN or Qualification in QN Title.
-
If a QN is not returned, they are likely unapproved, use a placeholder like Unapproved Maths or Unapproved None. See for Sisra Analytics: KS3/4 - Matching - Unapproved Qualifications / Qualification not listed (Admin) further information.
-
For KS3 subjects listed under Current without QNs, set Current to No.
-
- Save your changes
-
Check and resolve (if applicable) qualifications displaying
in DC Exams Check. This icon suggests a mismatch between the Grade Method setup in use (in the KS4 Exams term of your EAP), compared to the expected method based on the QN entered. Select the icon for a helpful pop out comparison.
-
If the points differ for official grades, you must resolve this for your figures to be accurate. See Sisra Analytics: KS3/4: Matching - DC Exams Check Troubleshooting (Admin) for further information.
Level 1 Pass (L1P) is worth different points in a BTEC First Award (1.75) than a BTEC Tech Award (1.25). Ensure your L1 grades are set up with the correct points for the qualification.
- If students take Combined Science, ensure this is set up as one row on your Matching page, set to an EAP using a split / double Grade Method and link it to the correct Combined Science QN.
- If students take GCSEs and AS Levels in the same subject area, ensure the AS Level is set up as a separate qualification to the GCSE, and link the AS Level qualification to its correct QN.
-
If you have any new qualifications (not yet set up on your Matching page for the cohort), see Sisra Analytics: How do I set up a new qualification? (Admin).
See Sisra Analytics: KS3/4: Completing the Matching page (Admin) for further information.
-
From DATA > Select KS3/4 and Current Yr 11 > Grades > Grades Management:
- Check the Grades Count and Grades Methods are correct for each qualification.
- Resolve any warnings, for example, Missing Student Data
, Missing Class Data
, Grade Not in Method
and Sub Grades not Valid in this Data Set
. You will not be able to publish your Exams data set until all main issues are resolved
See Sisra Analytics: Grades Management (Admin) for further information.
- Publish Students from DATA > Select KS3/4 and Current Yr 11 > Students > Publish Students select Publish.
- Publish KS2 / EAP from DATA > Select KS3/4 and Current Yr 11 > KS2 / EAP > Publish KS2 / EAP select Publish.
- Publish Grades from DATA > Select KS3/4 and Current Yr 11 > Grades > Publish Grades select Publish.
-
Publish your Exam data set along with any data sets or assessments you wish to be available for comparison on Results Day, with the latest DfE Rules (2022). As with last year, Progress 8 will not be available in reports, unless you upload an unofficial conversion of KS2 Scaled Scores. All attainment-based measures, for example, Attainment 8 and EBacc, will be available as normal.
Sisra Analytics will temporarily place your Exams report for Current Y11 (25/26) under Embargo upon publishing from 12.01am on Wednesday 19th August 2026, until 8:00am the following day. This will lock the report so only staff with View Embargo Reports enabled will have access during this time (by default, this will be Admins).
-
See Sisra Analytics: What does publishing mean? for further information.
-
Check for unexpected or blank figures in the Headlines area, for example, Cohort and Pupils included, and resolve these.
See Sisra Analytics: KS4 Exams - Analysing Headlines & Key Student Groups for further information.
