Overview
This article explains what Sub Grade Not Valid In This Data Set warnings are and how to fix them.
As part of the upload process, Sisra Analytics checks the grades you upload and flags any warnings. The Sub Grade Not Valid In This Data Set warning icon indicates that at least one student has a subgrade uploaded into the Exams dataset.
You won't be able to publish the reports with Sub Grade Not Valid In This Data Set warnings.
The instructions below work for both KS3/4 and KS5.

You must be an administrator.
Instructions
Check the number of grades affected
To check the number of grades affected:
- Select Grades.
- Select Grades Management.
- Select Manage Datasets.
- Select Exams.
- Select the appropriate content in Grades Count:
- Check the number of students affected by reviewing the Exam dataset:
Remove the subgrade(s) to fix the problem
Select the appropriate instructions to fix the problem based on the number of grades affected:

Where a small number of grades are affected, manually edit the grades, removing the subgrades:
- If you are not still within the Exam dataset:
- Select Grades.
- Select Grades Management.
- Select Manage Datasets.
- Select Exams.
- Select Grades Count for the affected qualification.
- Select Edit Grades:
- Edit the grades to remove the subgrades, for example, if a student has an A- highlighted, you can remove the - to resolve the issue.:
- After all affected grades have been edited, select Save.
- If you are not still within the Exam dataset:

Where a large number of grades are affected, edit your original file in Excel to remove the subgrades, save and re-upload your grades file in Grades> Uploads > Exams. After the upload has completed, delete your previous file by selecting the red cross icon next to it.
Outcome
Your exam data will not include any subgrades. Sub Grade Not Valid In This Data Set warnings will be cleared. Publish/republish your Exams dataset from Grades > Publish Grades.
