Sisra Analytics: How do I assign qualifications to classes? (Admin)

Overview

This article explains how to assign qualifications to classes, ensuring they appear in KS3/4 and KS5 reports. Class data is taken from the most recently imported student data file for a cohort, as applicable. To include this data in reports, you must assign the qualifications students are taking to the correct classes.

Since Sisra Analytics is grade driven, students will only show up in a qualification or class within the reports if they have a grade uploaded for the assigned qualification.

Prerequisites

You must be an administrator.

Instructions

Follow these steps to assign qualifications to the relevant class:

  1. Select DATA.
  2. Select Key Stage.
  3. Select Cohort.
  4. Select Students.
  5. Select Classes to open Assign Quals:
  6. Select the green + icon () or (blue pencil icon () if already assigned) next to the relevant set of classes where you want to assign the qualifications:

The icons only show when grades have been uploaded for the cohort. See Sisra Analytics: How do I upload Assessment Grades? (Admin) and Sisra Analytics: How do I upload Standalone Grades? (Admin)for further information.

  7. From Edit Class Assignments for <subject>:

    1. To assign one or more qualifications to the set of classes, check the appropriate qualification(s) in the Qualifications Current Unassigned section.
    2. Select Save.

The Qualifications Already Assigned section displays qualifications that have been assigned to at least one set of classes.

  8. Repeat Step 6 and Step 7 for all qualifications taken by the cohort.

Assign the same qualification to multiple class sets when they're preparing for the same subject. For example, if you have an Off Site class set and a French class set (for in-school students), both working toward the same French qualification, assign that qualification to both sets. This ensures that students’ most recent class, regardless of set, appears in reports. Bear this in mind if class set names change throughout the year.

Assign multiple qualifications to the same set of classes, for example, multiple Science qualifications (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) to Science classes. Sisra Analytics will pull through all classes under the assigned set of classes, where appropriate, in the reports.

Outcome

  1. The qualification(s) will be assigned to the set of classes. This is indicated by the green + icon ()  changing to a blue pencil icon () in the Actions column.
  2. To add or remove qualifications that have been assigned, select the blue pencil .
  3. To confirm that all qualifications have been assigned, scroll down Assign Qualifications to the Unassigned Qualifications section.
    1. Any qualifications that are not assigned to a set of classes are listed.
    2. These would also be flagged as Missing Class Data in Grades Management (Grades > Grades Management).
    3. In the reports, these qualifications will still appear if they have at least one grade uploaded, but class-level analysis will not be available (they will show each student as Not In Class).
