Overview
This article explains how to publish standalone Data Sets and individual Assessment Collections in KS3/4. Examples of data sets include Exams, Targets, and Mocks. Assessment collections include Predictions or Current grades).
To find out how to publish a Tracker or Flight Paths, see Sisra Analytics: KS3/4 - Generating a Tracker and Flight Paths (Admin)
Instructions
Follow these steps to publish Grades:
- Select DATA.
- Select Key Stage 3/4.
- Select Cohort.
- Select Grades.
- Select Publish Grades. Publish Grades opens on the Publish Individual Reports tab, within which the Data Sets tab is displayed:
- To publish a Data Set:
- Locate the Data Set you want to publish in the table.
- Select Publish.
- To publish an Assessment collection:
- Select one of the Assessment tabs (Year 7 through Year 11) based on the term the data is associated with, for example, to publish Y11 Autumn, select the Year 11 tab.
- The Assessment tab opens listing two slots per term that can be used for publishing (giving a total of six per year - 30 per cohort):
- Locate the Slot you want to publish.
- Select Publish.
- Select the assessment you would like to fill the slot:
- To publish a Data Set:
- A health check is undertaken. If any issues are found, select Close and resolve them (see Sisra Analytics: When I publish KS3/4, what do the Health tab warnings mean, and how can I fix them?) otherwise, continue to Step 7.
- Select the Publishing tab to configure what and how to publish:
- Optionally, enter a Report Note that is displayed on the report homepage.
- Optionally, select a Report Status to control who can access the report:
- Unchecked - The data has not been checked and is subject to change. Reports are available to all users.
- Checked - Data is complete and checked; available to all users. Reports are available to all users.
- Locked – By default, the reports are only available to Admins or those with access to Locked reports. Users within the default User group cannot view reports. See Sisra Analytics: Creating Custom Authority Groups (Admin) for information about creating Custom Authority Groups to control access).
-
Toggle Headlines on if you want to produce DfE based headline figures, such as Attainment 8 and Progress 8.
-
If you have enrolled in the Sisra Data Collaboration, toggle Data Collaboration on, and then select the Collaboration data you want to use. This will produce reports with the collaboration features.
If a
warning icon is displayed, it indicates that the Data Collaboration setup is not complete (see Sisra Analytics: How do I set up Sisra Data Collaboration? (Admin) for further guidance).
- If you’ve added expected grades in your EAPs, toggle on Sisra Basic Projections (SBP) to see projected grades in your report, then choose a status to view estimates of what students might achieve by the end of KS4 (see Sisra Analytics: How do I setting up Sisra Basic Projections (SBP) in KS3/4?) for further guidance).
- If you toggled Headlines on, complete the Headlines/SBP Options:
- Select the appropriate year’s performance table rules to be applied in DfE Rules from, which should be the year the students are reported on, or if this is not available, the most recent.
-
Select the A8 Estimates to calculate Progress 8. For Leavers cohorts, use the Official DfE Estimates if available. If not, use Sisra Data Collaboration Estimates for an early indication of final results. For Current cohorts, use the latest available estimates until official DfE figures are released.
- Select the VA Estimates to calculate Progress 8, using the same principles as those used when selecting A8 Estimates.
If the KS2 Baseline Type does not match the baseline type in use for the A8 or VA Estimates you have selected, the
icon is displayed. You can still continue, but Progress 8 and Value Added will not be calculated.
- Select Publish.
Outcome
Publishing starts and progress is indicated:
When the publishing is complete:
- Select Go To Reports to be taken to the reports.
- Select Close if you want to turn to Grades Publish publish to publish any further data sets or assessments.
