Sisra Analytics: KS5 - What should I do on Results Day? (Admin)

Overview

This article explains the steps you must work through on KS5 Results Day (12th August 2026) to ensure that your Exam grades are uploaded and set up correctly.

Prerequisites

You must be an administrator.

Instructions

  • Work through the steps listed in Sisra Analytics: KS5 - How do I prepare / set up Sisra Analytics for the Summer Exams 2026? (Admin).

Double-check other grades data, for example, Targets, is up to date for all students to ensure useful comparisons.

  • Ensure you upload your exam grades, from DATA > KS5 and cohort > Grades > Uploads > Exams:

    Previously banked exam grades

    • Check you have uploaded your students’ banked Exams, for example, Y12 results, such as AS Levels, and offsite Exams.
    • If your students resat Level 2 GCSE English and Maths, ensure these L2 resit grades are uploaded.

    Summer Results

    • Prepare your summer results file in Excel, containing Student ID, Student Name, Qualifications, and Grades, and save as either a CSV, XLSX, XLS or XML file.
    • Ensure AS and A2 qualifications have unique / separate qualification names in your file, for example, Art AS and Art A2, if taken at your school.
    • Upload your Summer results.
    • Set new qualifications to New on the Confirm Upload Qualification Names page. See Sisra Analytics: What is the Confirm Upload Qualification Names page? (Admin) for further information.

See Sisra Analytics: How do I upload Standalone Grades? (Admin) for further information.

  • In DATA > KS5 and cohort > Students > Classes > Assign Quals, if you have uploaded grades for new qualifications, ensure they’re assigned to the correct set of classes.

See Sisra Analytics: Assigning Qualifications to Classes (Admin) for further information.

    1. Open DATA > Select KS5 and Cohort > Grades > Matching.
    2. Select Edit. You should have one row for each qualification.

    3. For all appropriate qualifications:

      • Set Include to Yes. Any qualifications that are not needed, for example, qualifications students did not enter officially, can be excluded from reports here.

      • Enter the QN codes for each qualification to determine the QN / Qual Title. Qualification Title or Syllabus Title can be used as an alternative, but may not be as accurate.
      • Assign the correct EAP from those created in the DATA > Select KS5 and Cohort > KS4 / EAP > EAP / Baselines > EAP area. Sisra Analytics checks the Grade Method used in the EAP matches the Grade Method expected, based on the selection in QN/Qual Title.

  • See Sisra Analytics: KS5 - Completing the Matching Page (Admin) for further information.

  • Make sure the Value Added Data is set. From DATA > Select KS5 and Cohort > Grades > National Data > Value Added, select Edit VA Data, then select 2025.

After the Checking Exercise, when the 2026 Value Added data is released by the DfE you will need to return to this area and change the VA Data Year to 2026.

See Sisra Analytics: KS5 - National Data - Value Added Setup (Admin) for further information.

  • From DATA > Select KS5 and Cohort > Grades > Grades Management:

    1. Check the Grades Count reflects the number of grades you expect for each qualification.
    2. Resolve any warnings, for example, Missing Student Data mceclip1.png, Missing Class Data mceclip2.png, Grade Not in Method mceclip3.png and Sub Grades not Valid in this Data Set mceclip4.png. You will not be able to publish your Exams data set until all main issues are resolved

See Sisra Analytics: Grades Management (Admin) for further information.

    1. Publish Students from DATA > Select KS5 and Cohort > Students > Publish Students select Publish.
    2. Publish KS4 / EAP from DATA > Select KS5 and Cohort > KS4 / EAP > Publish KS4 / EAP select Publish.
    3. Publish Grades from DATA > Select KS5 and Cohort > Grades > Publish Grades select Publish.
    4. Publish any data sets (Data Sets tab) or assessments (Year 12 and Year 13 tabs under Assessments heading) you wish to be available for comparison on Results Day.
    5. Check for discrepancies or blank figures in the reports and resolve these before Results Day.
  • Sisra Analytics will temporarily place your Exams report for Current Year 13 (25/26) under Embargo upon publishing from 12.01am on Wednesday 12th August 2026, until  8:00am the following day. This will lock the report so only staff with View Embargo Reports enabled in their Authority Group will have access during this time (by default this will be Admins).

See Sisra Analytics: What does publishing mean? for further information.

  • Check for unexpected or blank figures in the Headlines report, for example, A Level Cohort, and Applied General Cohort and resolve these.

Students who have a status of On Roll, Year 12 Only or Year 13 Only need two A Level sized entries to be included in school performance measures (either 2 grades worth at least 1 A Level entry each, or 1 grade worth 2 entries) . Double checking that this status is accurately set for appropriate students using DfE criteria. See Sisra Analytics: KS5 Cohort Eligibility (Admin) for further information.
