How do I enter, export, import and report on statutory data using Sonar Tracker and the Juniper MIS?

MIS, Comms Hub, Sonar Tracker

IMPORTANT

When you log into Sonar Tracker today, you will not see the content in this article. It relates to the enhanced version launching soon. Please continue entering data as usual.

For further information see: Sonar Tracker: Statutory Data entry.

Overview

This article explains how to work with statutory data in Sonar Tracker and the Juniper MIS. It provides links to articles (including online, interactive demonstrations) that explain how to;

  1. Add / edit statutory data through Sonar Tracker,
  2. Export statutory data as a CTF through Juniper MIS.
  3. Import data from a CTF into Juniper MIS,
  4. Report statutory information to parents using the Juniper MIS and Comms Hub.

Prerequisites

  • You must be using integrated Sonar Tracker with at least Full Edit permission to manually edit your teacher assessments / test scores.
  • You must be an Account Admin or Account Owner to import or export CTF files and to create parent reports in Juniper MIS.
  • You must be an Account Admin or Account Owner to send reports to parents in Comms Hub.

This article is only relevant if you use integrated Sonar Tracker.

If you don't know which version of Sonar Tracker you are using, see Sonar Tracker: Which version of Sonar Tracker am I using?

If you haven't migrated from the stand-alone version of Sonar Tracker, you should refer to the following articles:  Sonar Tracker: How do I import Statutory End of KS2 Test scores / Teacher Assessments? and Sonar Tracker: How do I export statutory end of key stage data from Sonar Tracker?

Key information

  1. Sonar Tracker is the single source of truth for all of your statutory data. It is the only place where your statutory data can be edited. You cannot edit your statutory data in the MIS.
  2. The MIS is the only place where you can import / export CTF data. This functionality is no longer available in Sonar Tracker.
  3. Parent reports are created in the MIS. To share these with parents by email or in the Juniper Education App, you are directed from the MIS to Comms Hub.
