Sonar Tracker: How do I add Statutory Data for new joiners?

Sonar Tracker

Overview

This article explains how to add Statutory Data for new joiners into Sonar Tracker. The way you do this is dependent on the version of Sonar Tracker that you are using - either integrated or stand-alone.

If you don't know which version of Sonar Tracker you are using, see Sonar Tracker: Which version of Sonar Tracker am I using?

Integrated Sonar Tracker

Contextual data (for example, Name, Date of Birth, Pupil Premium and SEN Status) is updated overnight if you are using a third-party MIS. This is done through a Wonde sync between your third-party MIS and Sonar Tracker. This does not include Assessment Data. The easiest way to ensure that Statutory Data is added for children who join your school is for you to:

  1. Ensure that the pupil is visible in Sonar Tracker (or through Juniper's MIS).
  2. Import a CTF that has that child’s assessment data into Sonar Tracker using Juniper's MIS (see MIS: How do I import a CTF?).

    This could be either:

    1. A CTF from Get Information about Pupils (Sonar Tracker: How do I download a CTF from GIAP?)
    2. The CTF that came from that pupil’s previous school.
    3. A CTF for that pupil that you have created from your MIS.

Stand-alone Sonar Tracker

Contextual data (for example, Name, Date of Birth, Pupil Premium and SEN Status) is updated weekly. This is done through a Wonde sync between your third-party MIS and Sonar Tracker. This does not include Assessment Data. The easiest way to ensure that Statutory Data is added for children who join your school is for you to:

  1. Check that the pupil has been added to your Sonar Tracker account (we can run a manual sync if necessary).
  2. Upload a CTF that has that child’s assessment data into Sonar (Sonar Tracker: How do I import Statutory Data from a CTF?)

    This could be either:

    1. A CTF from Get Information about Pupils (Sonar Tracker: How do I download a CTF from GIAP?)
    2. The CTF that came from that pupil’s previous school.
    3. A CTF for that pupil that you have created from your MIS.

Outcome

Following a CTF upload, in the case of the integrated version of Sonar Tracker, the update will take place immediately. In the case of the stand-alone version of Sonar Tracker, the data will be processed within 15 mins.

Check that the data has been imported by going to Assessments > Statutory Assessments, and select the relevant option.
