Overview
This article explains how to import a CTF from the Primary Assessment Gateway into Sonar Tracker. This lets you import your KS2 data into Sonar Tracker, as you are unable to transfer raw scores directly from Target Tracker into Sonar Tracker.
Instructions
Follow these steps to import your missing Statutory data after migrating from Target Tracker:
- Follow these instructions to open the Primary Assessment Gateway and download your KS2 test results:
- Go to the Primary Assessment Gateway in your browser.
- Enter your Username and Password then select Sign in.
- After successfully signing in, go to Available Activity.
- Select View and download KS2 test results.
- Select Download results.
- When the page opens, select Common transfer file (CTF) and download the file (full results with TA scores).
- In Sonar Tracker, follow these instructions to import your KS2 test results:
- Select School.
- Select the Send a file to Sonar widget to open your device's file management software and select the results CTF to upload (or drag the results CTF file you want to upload onto the widget):
- The system will detect the file contents and display the details. Check KS2:
- Select Upload and process file. The files will be processed and uploaded within 15 minutes.
Outcomes
After 15 minutes, the files will be processed and the raw scores will be visible in the Key Stage 2 Statutory Assessments section of Sonar Tracker.
To view them:
- Select Assessments.
- Select Key Stage 2 under Statutory Assessments.
- When prompted, select Year Group or Class.
- Select Load Assessment to open the Key Stage 2 page.
- Select one of the three options:
- Test Raw Scores - these will populate immediately.
- Test Outcomes - these will populate immediately once the conversion tables have been programmed into the software. On Key Stage 2 Results Day, Juniper Education programs the conversion tables into Sonar Tracker for Test Outcomes to be calculated for this screen and reports. We do this within the first couple of hours of the day.
- Teacher Assessments.
If you think your data has not been imported, go to Sonar Tracker: Why can't I see my data after uploading a CTF in Sonar?
MTC data for current Year 5 pupils
- If MTC data is missing, importing the CTF from the MTC Check Service will resolve this.
- After you have the file, upload your CTF using Send a file to Sonar widget (as explained above).
Any other historical data
- Create a CTF in your MIS. When doing this, choose General and include either the whole school or filter to a particular Year Group.
- Upload your CTF using the Send a file to Sonar widget (as explained above).
Reporting Statutory outcomes
- Select the End of Reception , End of Key Stage 1 , End of Key Stage 2 Outcomes Reports to show the percentage of pupils at and above in each subject as well as the school's combined percentage.
- Select the Statutory Dashboard in the Analysis tab (This report is updated overnight, so will reflect any changes made the following day).
- Select the Assessment Conversion Matrix Report to compare the KS2 data with the KS1 Outcomes for the pupils.
