Code models in Sonar Tracker
Code models are set up for you when you first start using Sonar Tracker. If you migrated from another Juniper Education product, we will have selected a model that enabled your data to be transferred for you.
Account Owners and Admins can change the labels of their assessment judgements themselves (see Sonar Tracker: How do I edit Summative Code Labels?); however, it is important to note that the meaning of the judgements must stay the same in this instance. for example, those judgements marked with a * will still be treated as 'On Track' even if you change the label.
We have a variety of code models we can suggest if you want to change the options you have for assessment. This decision needs to be made in consultation with us because it affects assessments made during this academic year, as well as progress from the old model to the new. The change must be made to all terms in an academic year, so it is best done in the Autumn Term before assessments have been made for the year.
Contact us to discuss this with one of our team (see Sonar Tracker: How do I get support?).
Are you looking to add 'Significantly Below' or 'Significantly Above' options? Most code models already include this functionality automatically. When a pupil is assessed using a year group band below the one they are taught in, they are shown as ‘Significantly Below’. Similarly, when a pupil is assessed using a year group band above their current one, they appear as ‘Significantly Above’.
