Overview

This article explains how to invite a member of staff to Sonar Tracker through the Juniper Portal. This involves assigning them a role and sending them an invite to register.

Prerequisites

1. You must be an Account Admin or Account Owner.

2. When you open the School view in Sonar Tracker and view the Users widget, it must look like this:

   

   If the widget doesn't look like the one above, open the article Sonar Tracker: How do I add a new user? for instructions.

3. The member of staff must have been added to your school's MIS with their work email address.
4. The staff member's details must have been sent over to Juniper Portal from your school's MIS - new staff members are sent from your school's MIS to Juniper Portal overnight.

Instructions

To invite a member of staff to use Sonar Tracker:

1. Select School.
2. From the Users widget, select View & Invite Users:
   
3. You will be directed to the User Invitations page within Portal:
   

4. Select Staff:

   

5. Locate the user(s) that you want to invite (their status will be Not Registered):
   
   1. Either check individual staff member(s) that you want to invite
   2. Or check the select all check box next to Full Name, to select all staff who are not currently registered.
6. Select Send Invites / Invitations (changes depending on what is selected):
   
7. From the Send Invitations window:
   
   1. Select a Role. For further information see Sonar Tracker: What are the different user roles in Sonar Tracker?
   2. Select Send.

When you have finished sending invitations, close the web browser tab to return to Sonar Tracker.

Outcome

A message confirming the invitation has been sent to the selected user(s) is displayed:

The selected user(s) are sent an email inviting them with a link to a webpage where they accept the invitation to join:

The user can select whether to Log in with an existing account or enter their details to create a new account. It is recommended that you select Create new account, unless advised otherwise. Once selected and appropriate details are selected, the staff member will have access to Sonar Tracker.
