Sonar Tracker
Overview
This article explains how to export a report from Sonar Tracker to Excel or Word. You can use the file to share or analyse your data.
Prerequisites
You can export to Excel or Word from these reports:
- Sonar Tracker: EYFS (2020) Age Related Overview Report
- Sonar Tracker: EYFS Characteristic Attainment Overview Report
- Sonar Tracker: EYFS Good Level of Development Tracking Report
- Sonar Tracker: EYFS Summative Data Check Summary Report
- Sonar Tracker: Primary Age Related Overview Report

Export a report
Follow these steps to export your report as a Excel or Word format file:
- From the report you are viewing, select Export.
- Choose Excel or Word.
- Select what you would like to export from Display Options, or any other options available for selection.
- Select Export to Excel, or Export to Word.
Your device saves the file to its downloads folder. Depending on your device settings, the file may also open automatically.
Tips and best practices
- Only what you see on screen is included in the export. Select your subjects, filters, and view before you export.
- Large reports can take a few seconds to export.
- If you would prefer to export your content as a PDF file, this works in the same way as above, except select PDF and then Export to PDF.
