Overview
This article explains how to view performance trends over time, across different pupil characteristics using the Age Related Progress reports (Sonar Tracker: EYFS (2020) Age Related Progress Report and Sonar Tracker: Primary Age Related Progress Report). The different pupil characteristics are as follows:
- All Pupils.
- Boys / Girls.
- Disadvantaged / Not Disadvantaged.
- Pupil Premium / Not Pupil Premium.
- FSM / Not FSM.
- SEN / Education Health and Care Plan / Not SEN.
- EAL / Not EAL.
- Summer Born.
- Leaver / Not Leaver.
If you are a Sonar Multi-School user, view the progress of different groups over time graphically with the Progress Over Time Overview.
Instructions
The instructions below can be used for either the EYFS (2020) Age Related Progress report or Primary Age Related Progress report. In these instructions, the EYFS (2020) Age Related Overview report is used:
- Select Reports.
- Select the EYFS (2020) Age Related Progress.
- When prompted, select the pupils you wish to include in the report by selecting one or more Year Groups and/or Classes:
The report is displayed: - To change the default subjects displayed, select the Subject menu and choose the different subjects to use in the report:
- Select the assessment periods to include in the report - these are the periods that you want to show progress across:
- Select Display Options and select Summary View:
The report view will update as follows:
After creating this view, it's good practice to bookmark it for easy access in the future. See Sonar Tracker: How do I create a bookmark? for further information.
Outcome
Using the report, you can compare the proportion of pupils On Track or Higher for each group and how they have changed over the selected assessment periods.
To view the progress of those not on track, Select Display Options and select Not on track.
