People First HR
Overview
This article explains how to configure the approval levels that govern how offer packages are reviewed and approved. Each approval level is linked to a job role rather than a specific person, and the order in which you add approvers determines the sequence packages follow through the approval process.
Prerequisites
- Campaign Administrator access is required.
- Recruitment approvals must be switched on before approval levels can be amended.
Add an approval level
Follow these steps to add a new approval level to the recruitment process:
- Select Administration from the My Apps menu.
- Select Configuration.
- Select the Recruitment drop-down in the left-hand column.
-
Select Package approvals:
- Select Add approval level.
- Select the relevant job role in the Job title field.
-
Select Create:
The order in which you add approval levels determines the sequence each package follows. You can add multiple approvers to a single step. Any changes apply to all new packages created from that point onwards - they do not affect packages already in progress.
Tips and best practices
Because approvals are tied to job roles rather than individuals, the approval chain remains intact even if the person in that role changes. Review your approval levels whenever there is a significant change to your organisational structure.
Next steps
After configuring your approval levels, approvers will receive a notification when a package requires their review. They can approve or reject the package directly from that notification.
