Sonar Tracker: How do I copy summative assessment data?

Sonar Tracker

Overview

This article explains how to copy assessment data in bulk from one term (or start of year baseline) to another term, for one or more pupils, using the Copy Data From Previous Term feature. The feature is available in both the EYFS Summative Assessment (New) page or the Primary Summative Assessment (New) page (based on the pupils' Key Stage).

Where appropriate data is available, you can copy either the assessment data for:

  1. All the subjects listed from a previous term (or start of year baseline) for one pupil.
  2. For all pupils listed from a previous term (or start of year baseline) for one subject.

A set of rules determines what data can be copied, its source, and the method. The following articles explain these rules:

  1. Sonar Tracker: How is summative assessment data mapped when copied from Reception to Year 1?
  2. Sonar Tracker: What summative assessment data can I copy?

Instructions

From the appropriate Summative Assessment (New) data entry page:

  1. Locate either the subject or pupil where you want to copy previous assessment data.
  2. Select the appropriate ellipsis (either next to the pupil or subject, depending on what you want to copy):

  3. From the menu, select Copy Data From Previous Term:

  4. When prompted:

    1. Select the previous term or baseline data you want to copy.
    2. Select Copy.
  5. When prompted:

    1. Review the details of the data that you are about to overwrite.
    2. Select Confirm Copy.

There is no undo option when copying data from one term (or baseline) to another term. When you copy data, it will overwrite any existing data that has been entered. You will need to manually recreate any data that has been updated accidentally.

Outcomes

The data is copied from the previous term or baseline data that has been selected:
