MIS: How do I see those pupils who are severely absent?

Overview

This article explains how to view a detailed list of pupils who are categorised in the persistently absent band (whose absence for the current academic year is over 50% / attendance is up to 50%) using the Absence Bandings report.

Instructions

Opening the Absence Bandings report

Open the Absence Bandings report:

  1. From the Absence Bandings Widget in the Absence Dashboard select image.png
  2. From elsewhere in the Juniper MIS:
    1. Select Reports.
    2. Select Attendance.
    3. Select Absence Bandings.

Filter the Absence Bandings report

The Absence Bandings report opens: 

It summarises the number of pupils within a series of percentage bands, along with the percentage of pupils in each band, and the status of each band:

  1. Select Filters to view the specific pupils:
  2. Apply filters of your choice to narrow the absence banding details displayed:

View the pupils who are Severely Absent

  1. Select the Great than or equal to 50% Absence Band (where the Status is Severely Absent), if there are any pupils in either of these groups:

Outcome

A list of pupils,where they exist, within the Great than or equal to 50% Absence Band (Severely Absent Band) is displayed, including their Year Group and Overall Absence percentage for the academic year-to-date.

Select a pupil to view their attendances / absence record that makes up their part of their pupil record:
