MIS: How do I view last week's whole-year attendance by year group?

This article explains how to see year-to-date attendance by year group using the Group Attendance Overview widget in the Attendance Dashboard. 

Instructions

From within Juniper MIS:

  1. Select Reports.
  2. Select Attendance.
  3. Select Dashboard.

  4. If you want to include those pupils who are Leavers, check Include Leavers, otherwise, leave Include Leavers as unchecked:

    When this is unchecked (default), attendance statistics for the academic year are displayed for pupils with a Current status. When Include Leavers is checked, this filter includes all pupils that were on roll during the selected academic year, including those that have left (pupils whose Status is either Current or Leaver). 

  5. Locate the Group Attendance Overview widget:

Outcome

The Group Attendance Overview widget compares attendance year-to-date for each year group for the last week. Additionally, you are presented with a comparison of year-to-date attendance for the whole school. This compares the last week's attendance with that of the prior week:

All values are displayed as percentages. The comparison is either highlighted with a red or green background:

  1. Red indicates a drop in whole-year attendance week-on-week.
  2. Green indicates in increase in whole-year attendance week-on-week.

Select View Report to open the Attendance Analysis report.

The colours on the chart indicate the attendance level, based on those configured in the Attendance Colour Bandings (for further information, see MIS: How do I configure attendance colour bandings?).
