Juniper Websites: How do I add notes to an appointment for a specific pupil at a parents' evening?

Overview

This article explains how to add notes to an appointment for a specific pupil at a parents' evening. Three types of notes can be added:

  1. Staff Public notes. All members of staff can view these notes. The individual pupil's parents cannot see these notes.
  2. Staff Private notes. These notes can be viewed only by the teacher with whom the appointment is. The individual pupil's parents cannot see these notes.
  3. Parent notes. These notes are visible to the pupil's parents and all staff members.

Prerequisites

  • You must be an administrator.
  • You need to have purchased the Parents' Evening add-on. 
  • You must have published the parents' evening event.

Instructions

Open the parents' evening details for the specific Parents' Evening Event from the Parents' Evening Dashboard (see Juniper Websites: How do I open the details for a published parents' evening event?)

To add a note to a specific pupil appointment:

  1. Select View next to the relevant live parent evening from the Dashboard:
  2. Select Please select staff.
  3. Select a staff member from the list.
  4. Select a date (if the parents' evening runs over multiple days).
  5. From the list of available appointments, select Edit Notes to add / edit notes for a specific pupil:
  6. When prompted, enter your notes into the relevant notes section:
    1. Staff Public Notes are viewable by all members of staff.
    2. Staff Private Notes are viewable only by the teacher with whom the appointment is.
    3. Parent Notes are viewable by the pupil's parents.
  7. Select Save.
  8. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  9. Optionally, check Send email of changes to parents.
  10. Select Save bookings

Outcome

The note will be added to the parent evening appointment slot. The visiblit of the note will be based on your selection in Step 6 above.
