Juniper Websites: How do I add in staff breaks?

Overview

This article explains how to add staff breaks into their appointment schedule after saving your Parents' Evening. You do this by changing the status of a time slot to Unavailable, meaning that parents cannot book them.

Prerequisites

  • You must be an administrator.
  • You need to have purchased the Parents' Evening add-on. 
  • You must have published the parents' evening event.

Instructions

Open the parents' evening details for the specific Parents' Evening Event from the Parents' Evening Dashboard (see Juniper Websites: How do I open the details for a published parents' evening event?)

  1. Select View next to a relevant live parent evening from the Dashboard:
  2. Select Please select staff.
  3. Select a staff member from the list.
  4. Select a date (if the parents' evening runs over multiple days).
  5. From the list of available appointments, select Available on the slot you want to make unavailable:
  6. When prompted, enter Break as the reason for making the appointment unavailable:
  7. Select OK.
  8. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  9. Optionally, check Send email of changes to parents.
  10. Select Save bookings

Outcome

The time slot will be marked as Unavailable to parents who want to make a booking, giving the teacher a time to take a break. The note added will show in the Teacher Schedule so the staff member can see their break.
