Juniper Websites: How do I resume bookings for a previously paused parents' evening event?

Overview

This article outlines how to resume parent appointment bookings for a parents' evening after previously pausing bookings. You can also send an optional email to inform parents that bookings have reopened. 

Prerequisites

  • You must be an administrator.
  • You need to have purchased the Parents' Evening add-on. 
  • You must have paused a parents' evening event.

Instructions

Open the parents' evening details for the specific Parents' Evening Event from the Parents' Evening Dashboard (see Juniper Websites: How do I open the details for a published parents' evening event?)

To resume parents' evening bookings:

  1. Select View from the Dashboard to view the event that has been paused:
  2. Select Resume Evening.
  3. From the Resume Evening screen, check Please tick this box to confirm you would like to resume the evening:
  4. Optionally, check Send Email to parents if you want to let them know that they can restart making bookings for the parents' evening:
    1. Review and modify the Email subject as appropriate.
    2. Review and modify the Email body as appropriate.
    3. Optionally, check Send to primary contacts only if you want the email to go to your primary contacts, not all contacts.
    4. Optionally, check Only send to contacts with bookings if you want to restrict the email to only those contacts who have made appointments already.
  5. Select Confirm (or Confirm & Send if you have opted to send an email to parents).

Outcome

The ability to make appointment bookings will be resumed. If you opted to send parents an email to notify them of this, an email will be sent comprising the details you entered in step 3 above.
