Sonar Tracker: How do I download a CTF from GIAP?

Sonar Tracker

Overview

This article explains how to download a CTF from the Get Information About Pupils (GIAP) website to use when you import your Statutory Data into Sonar Tracker (see Sonar Tracker: How do I import Statutory Data from a CTF?). You may want to do this to import any missing EYFS or KS1 statutory pupil data. The approach below will extract data for all children, with a valid UPN, whose results were returned at the end of EYFS and/or KS1, including Phonics scores, irrespective of their school at the time.

Prerequisites

  1. A DfE Sign-in (DSI).

Instructions

  1. Log in using your DfE Sign-In (DSI) registered email address.
  2. Select Search NPD using UPNS.
  3. Enter the UPNs for the pupils whose data you want to search for. A separate line should be used for each pupil. If you have copied this information from Microsoft Excel, each UPN will be listed on a separate line.
  4. Select Search.
  5. Download the CTF (XML file) to your device.

Outcome

This CTF file can now be imported into Sonar Tracker (if you are an Account Owner or Account Admin):

  1. If you use the stand-alone version of Sonar Tracker, see Sonar Tracker: How do I import Statutory Data from a CTF? for further guidance.
  2. If you use the integrated version of Sonar Tracker you will import the data into Sonar Tracker through the Juniper MIS, see MIS: How do I import a CTF? for further guidance.

If you don't know which version of Sonar Tracker you use, see Sonar Tracker: Which version of Sonar Tracker am I using?
