Some schools are run as two schools with different DfE numbers for Infants and Juniors. From a Sonar Tracker perspective, they are separate schools, each with a license for the software. When pupils move from the Infant school to the Junior school, their assessment data needs to be moved from the Infant school system to the Junior school system. Today, it is not currently possible to export across ARE judgements.
To manually add ARE judgements for Year 3 pupils (Summer 2 of the previous academic year, when they were in Year 2), follow the instructions below.
Instructions
- Select Assess.
- Select Primary Summative from the Teacher Assessments list.
- When prompted, select Year 3 to manually enter test results:
- Select Load Assessment, the input page opens with the selected pupils and the subjects for the current period.
- Select the previous academic year:
- Select Summer 2 as the assessment period:
- Select a cell to open the Choose Code tool.
- Select Show All Codes (as the pupils are now in Year 3 but you want to view the codes for the previous year group):
- The Choose Codes pane for all Year Groups is displayed. Select the appropriate Band 2 code for the pupil:
- Complete for each pupil.

Outcome
When you select a code the pupil assessment is saved.
Ensure the Saved indicator in the top-right corner of the page is displayed to confirm your updates have been made.
