Sonar Tracker: How do I get Statutory End of KS2 Assessments into Sonar?

Background

Assessment data should only be manually entered into one system. From that system, it should be electronically exported and imported into other systems. As a school, you must decide whether to enter your Key Stage 2 Teacher Assessments data manually into Sonar Tracker, and then export it into your MIS or vice versa. If your school has chosen to enter Key Stage 2 Teacher Assessments into your MIS, go to Sonar Tracker: How do I import Statutory Data from a CTF?

You can populate Sonar Tracker with this data in one of two ways:

  1. Import the KS2 data from your MIS.
  2. Manually enter the KS2 data in Sonar Tracker for analysis and future tracking.

In addition to recording the statutory data in Sonar Tracker, we recommend you review the summative assessment judgements for pupils for Summer 2. These will be included in progress reports like the Summative Progress Analysis Report.

We recommend using the End of Key Stage 2 Outcomes report for analysis. Meanwhile, the Assessment Conversion Matrix Report lets you view KS2 assessments against different starting points.

The Statutory Dashboard in the Analysis tab shows headline data for all DfE assessments (This report is updated overnight so will reflect any changes made the following day)

Sonar Tracker will be updated with the conversion tables soon after the DfE publishes them.

Importing teacher assessments and/or test scores from the PAG / MIS

Preferably import the file from the Primary Assessment Gateway. See Sonar Tracker: How do I import Statutory End of KS2 Test scores?

or

If you do not have access to this file but have already entered this data into your MIS, import any statutory data into Sonar Tracker using a CTF. See Sonar Tracker: How do I import Statutory Data from a CTF? for further details.
