Sonar Tracker: Everything I need to know about Observations

Sonar Tracker, Observations

Overview

This article covers everything you need when using Observations.

Observations is a formative assessment module that lets teachers record classroom observations, linked to learning objectives, directly within Sonar Tracker. You can use it to:

  1. Make observations in Sonar Tracker and attach learning objectives.
  2. Send observations marked suitable for home to parents automatically through the Juniper Education App.
  3. Track observation coverage for each pupil.
  4. Export observations to PDF, to support attainment and progress evidence within and across subjects.

Observations connects day-to-day classroom assessment directly to parent communication, keeping evidence and tracking data in one place. You cannot subscribe to Observations without being a Sonar Tracker subscriber.

Who it's for

Observations is exclusive to Sonar Tracker customers - schools already using Sonar Tracker for tracking and assessment.
