Overview

This article explains how to add one or more pupils to an observation you have just created and not yet saved or a draft observation.

Prerequisites

• To use Sonar Tracker's Observations functionality, in addition to a Sonar Tracker subscription, you must subscribe to either the Observations Module or the Parent Engagement Bundle (this includes the Observations Module and the Awards & Activities module).

Instructions

Skip steps 1 - 5 if the observation is already open:

1. Open the Observations page.
2. Select the My Drafts tab in the Observations Feed.
3. Locate the draft observation to edit.
4. Select the ellipsis next to the observation to open the individual observation menu:
   
5. Select Edit:
   
6. Select the Tag Pupils tab:
   

7. Select the pupil(s) to add to the observation (deselect them to remove them from the observation).

   To quickly find a pupil, enter their name into the Tagged Pupils search bar.

8. Select Save Draft to come back to finish recording your observation, or select Publish.

When you create or edit your observation, the pupils available for selection in the Tag Pupils tab are controlled by the year or class group(s) that you have previously selected. Check Search all pupils to view all pupils in your school. When you uncheck Search all pupils the list returns to your previous year/class selection.

Outcomes

The tagged pupils added to the observation are highlighted in green within the Tag Pupils tab. Additionally, the number of pupils added to the observation is indicated in the Tag Pupils tab:
