Overview
This article provides an overview of the Subject Overview report's purpose, guidance on accessing it, the various types of information it contains, and the different controls that help you customise what you see in the report.
Purpose
The Subject Overview report lets you view pupil results for a single Subject across an Academic Year. Using the data within the report, you can determine how individual pupils perform over time from Assessment Point to Assessment Point. You can also compare outcomes across pupils within the group, and view the outcomes of the group as a whole. You can implement support strategies as required to further learning where the pupil may benefit from additional help or coaching, using the knowledge geined from this report. The report comprises three different ways to analyse the data:
- Subject Overview - Summative against ARE - Compare the selected pupils' Summative Assessment outcomes for the selected Subject with Age Related Expectations.
- Subject Overview - Ages against ARE - Compare the selected pupils' Standardised Age Scores for the selected Subject with their Age to see how they compare to the Age Related Expectations.
- Subject Overview - Test scores against ARE - Compares the selected pupils' Test Scores for the selected Subject to determine how the pupil is doing compared to the Age Related Expectations.
By default, the Subject Overview - Summative against ARE data analysis loads.
The results for each data analysis type are displayed using three different views:
- An individual pupil results view.
- A tabular group view.
- A graphical group view).
Opening the Subject Overview report lets you view the page
After selecting the Subject Overview report from the Reports page menu, you will be prompted to select which pupils you wish to include. Select one or more Year Groups and / or Classes then select Load Report:
