Overview
This article provides an overview of the EYFS (2020) Age Related Progress report's purpose, guidance on how to access it, the various types of information it contains, and the different controls that help you customise what you see in the report.
Purpose
The EYFS (2020) Age Related Progress report lets you view attainment over time. It shows the proportion of pupils who are at Age Related Expectations (ARE) at different Assessment Points, and how they have changed between those points.
Using this information, you can see which pupils are progressing at the appropriate rate and those that are not making the progress expected. You can quickly get an overview of all EYFS Year Group pupils on track and determine which pupils within the various subjects could benefit from being allocated additional support.
Progress is displayed based on the number and percentage of pupils who are On Track Or Higher for the selected Assessment Periods. On Track is defined as the appropriate summative assessment code for pupils (in the Sonar Assessment model this is all pupils assessed as Just At (the Age Related Expectation) or higher).
By default, when the report is opened, the assessment results for the last Assessment Period of the previous Academic Year, and the current Assessment Period are displayed, along with the percentage change between the two periods for the subjects Word Reading, Writing and Number. The names of pupils who are On Track Or Higher, Not On Track and have No Assessment data can all be displayed in this report.
In this report, pupils with missing assessment data are included in the calculations. Any numerical counts or percentage calculations regarding pupil numbers include all pupils, regardless of whether they have assessment records.
