Overview
This article explains how to add grades manually, for example, if you only have a small number of grades to add for a qualification or a student.
If you have many grades to add, these should be uploaded. This process is covered in Sisra Analytics: Uploading Standalone Grades (e.g. Exams, Targets, Mocks etc. (Admin) and Sisra Analytics: Uploading Assessment Grades (Admin).
Instructions
In the example below, grades are added to a data set in KS3/4 via Manage Datasets; however same process applies for KS5.
To add a small number of grades manually:
- Select DATA.
- Select Key Stage > Cohort.
- Select Grades.
- Select Grades Management.
- Select either:
- Manage Datasets to see all qualifications available.
- Manage Students to quickly add grades for individual students.
- Select the data set you want to add grades to:
- Select Grade Count for the relevant qualification (when using the Manage Datasets option).
- Select Add Grade:
- From the Add Grade For... window:
- Select the Student for whom you want to add the grade.
-
Select the Results Date (or add a new one as required).
For KS3/4, the Results Date must be correct so that first-entry discounting takes place within reports.
- Enter the Grade that has been achieved:
- Select Add.
Outcome
The grade will be recorded for the selected student. Scroll down the list of pupils to the pupil you have assigned the grade to, to view it.
When a student is highlighted in red, it means their grade has been added, but there’s no class data for that qualification in Sisra Analytics, for example, due to being educated off-site. You can either leave it as is or assign them to the N/A class. See Sisra Analytics: Grade Management - Missing Class Data (Admin) for resolution guidance.
