Overview
This article explains how to enter non-statutory test scores into Sonar Tracker. These scores are for tests you want to formally record as a school, but they aren't required for statutory reporting. Examples of these tests include mock test results and Rising Star results. Teachers often capture test entry results at either the end of each half-term, term or at another pre-defined school data entry point.
Prerequisites
To enter scores, a Sonar Admin must first have set up the scores range and scores ARE sections. For more information see:

The following video shows how to enter your test data into the Test Scores page for pupils in your chosen year group(s) or class group(s):
Instructions
To enter test scores in Sonar Tracker:
- Select Assessments.
- Select Scores from the Tests list:
- When prompted, select the Year Group and/or Class for which you wish to enter test results:
- Select Load Assessment.
- The test scores input page opens for the selected pupils:
- Select the appropriate Academic Year, Assessment Period and Subjects to meet your needs.
- Filter Pupils as needed.
- Select a cell to enter a test score:
The number in the grey circle indicates the academic year of the test, for example, 2 indicates Year 2. - Enter the test score.
You can bulk-fill test scores, but this is rarely used for tests. For further information see Sonar Tracker: How do I bulk-fill assessment data?
Outcomes
The test score for the selected pupil is saved when you select another cell.
The following reports can be useful for analysing the test data once it has been entered;
