Sonar Tracker: How do I set primary targets?

Overview

This article explains how to set Primary Targets in Sonar Tracker.

Target grades/scores indicate how much a pupil is expected to have learned and how well they are expected to master a particular subject by the end of the selected Assessment Period.

As targets cannot currently be copied from one term to the next, we used to recommend they were entered for Summer 2 as effective assessment meant any term could be compared. Now this has been removed, we recommend entering them for each term that you assess so you can refer to them throughout the year in the Sonar Tracker: Primary Target Analysis Report.

Instructions

To set primary targets in Sonar Tracker:

  1. Select Assessments.
  2. From the Targets tile, select Primary Targets:
  3. When prompted, select the Year Group and/or Class that you want to enter targets for, and select Load Assessment:
  4. Select a cell to enter the target for the pupil.
  5. When prompted, select the target.

If you would prefer to bulk fill your targets to save time, see Sonar Tracker: How do I bulk fill data?

Outcomes

Your results will be saved automatically when you select a target.
