MIS: How do I record a Behaviour Incident for a pupil from their record?

Overview

This article explains how to record a Behaviour Incident for a pupil from their pupil record within the Juniper MIS.

Instructions

Follow these steps to record a pupil's behaviour incident from their pupil record within the Juniper MIS:

Open the pupil record

  1. Select Pupils.
  2. Select All Pupils.
  3. From All Pupils, locate the pupil from the list (use filters / search as appropriate):

  4. Select the Pupil's Full Name to open their Pupil details:

Recording the behaviour incident

  1. Select Behaviour.
  2. Select Log Behaviour Incident:

    The Create Behaviour page opens:

  3. Select a behaviour Type.
  4. Select a behaviour Category.
  5. Review that the Staff member is correctly populated with your details. 
  6. If displayed, select a Location.
  7. Review that the Date and Time are all correctly populated.
  8. If displayed, select a time of day in Time Category.
  9. Change the Date and Time as needed.
  10. Enter information about the incident in Details.
  11. If displayed, select a Consequence.
  12. Select Save

Tips and best practices

  1. Where behaviour Types and Categories do not meet with your requirements, speak to your school's MIS administrator who can add them for you as appropriate. 
  2. Location, Time Category and Consequence can be enabled / disabled as required based on your school's need by your school's MIS administrator.

Outcome

The new Behaviour incident record is created and saved to the pupil's record.
