MIS: How do I change the date that a pupil was added to a group?

MIS

Overview

This article explains how to change the date that a pupil was added to a group within Juniper MIS.

For information about how to add a pupil to a group, see MIS: How do I add pupils to a group?

Prerequisites

  • You must be a staff member allocated the role of Group owner or Group editor.

Instructions

Follow these steps to make changes to a group:

Locate, and open the group

To view a list of groups, locate a group and open it from within the Juniper MIS:

  1. Select Groups to open All Groups:
  2. Optionally, to narrow your search, select Classes, Year Groups or one of the Custom Group options from the side menu if you know the type of group you are searching for.
  3. Locate the group you want to edit from the list, using search as required:
  4. Select the group to open it:

Change a pupil's Group Start Date

To change the date that the pupil was added to your open group:

  1. From within the group, select the Pupils tab.
  2. From the Pupils tab:
    1. Locate the pupil whose details you want to update.
    2. Select the edit icon () next to the Group Start Date for the specific pupil.
    3. When prompted, select or enter the date that the pupil joined the group:

    4. Select the green check button to save.

The Group Start Date selected must be within the current academic year. If a pupil finishes today, and next week you want to reinstate them, when you re-add them to the group (see MIS: How do I add one or more pupils to a group?) you can't select a Group Start Date before the date that the pupil had previously left the group.

Outcome

Any changes that you make are saved. A record of all changes made are recorded in the group's Audit Log tab. A message displays indicating your update has been saved.
