Where a pupil has accumulated 10 or more unauthorised absence codes (any combination of G, N, O, U codes) in a rolling 10-week period, they will be flagged in the Penalty Notice Monitoring Report. This report identifies pupils who are eligible for a penalty notice. From the report, you can update the status of an absence period (marking it verified, issued or not issued). For further information, see MIS: How do I monitor attendance penalty notices?
