Overview

This article explains how you can control who sees your observations.

You can only manage who can see the observation when it is published. You cannot change the viewing permissions after publishing an observation. 

Prerequisites

• To use Sonar Tracker's Observations functionality, in addition to a Sonar Tracker subscription, you must subscribe to either the Observations Module or the Parent Engagement Bundle (this includes the Observations Module and the Awards & Activities module).

Instructions

1. Open your draft observation.
2. Select Publish to publish a finalised version of the observation.

3. You are prompted to choose the audience for your observation:

   

   Your choice determines who can see the observation. Select from:

   School only (observation is suitable for all staff)	When published all members of staff within the school who have access to Sonar Tracker will be able to see the observation. Parents / guardians will not be able to see the observation.
   Home (observation is suitable for parents/guardians)	If your school has the feature that enables you to share observations with the parents /guardians of pupils, they too can see the observations. Any content you add to the observation will be visible by parents / guardians.

Outcome

The observation is published to the selected audience.
