Sonar Multi-School: Progress from Statutory Assessment

Purpose

The Progress from Statutory Assessment drill-down report lets you view pupil progress by comparing attainment in the current Assessment Period against prior Statutory Assessment. When using the report, you can select the tabs to drill down into a lower level of detail. The content of the report is generated using the Level of Progress Made and the Grouping of pupil data selected.

Select a cell in the Progress From Statutory Assessment Overview Widget to set the Level of Progress Made to view from:

  • Not on track and BELOW standard.
  • Not on track but AT standard.
  • On track but BELOW standard.
  • On track and AT standard.
  • On track and ABOVE standard.
  • Accelerated track and AT standard.
  • Accelerated track and ABOVE standard.

By default, when the report loads, pupil data is grouped by School. To change the grouping, select from either By Year Group, By Gender, By Disadvantaged, or By SEN (to find out more, see View Options).

Using this report, you can view pupil progress based on the cell you selected in the widget to identify differences in progress based on the various characteristics of the pupils. As you drill-down the number of pupils that you are focusing on becomes smaller, providing greater insight into performance. The report will enable you to determine any particular School, Year Group, Subject or characteristic Group where pupils are not on track, performing at the expected level. You can see if there are any trends that are enabling, or preventing pupils from achieving Combined (RWM) at the end of Key Stage 1 (Year 2) or Key Stage 2 (Year 6). Using this information, you can determine if there is an opportunity to share best practices related to better performing groups to those groups that are not performing so well. It can also be used to determine where support interventions may be used to improve pupil performance.

Information:  Pupils without assessment data are not included in this report.

Information:  The Progress from Statutory Assessment report is only available for those users who are part of an establishment that comprises multiple schools in Sonar Tracker (for example, a Multi Academy Trust) and have the appropriate permission associated with their User ID to access Sonar Multi-School content.
