Comms Hub: How do I delete badges?

Overview

This article explains how to delete a badge that had been approved in Awards & Activities. A deleted badge is removed from all badge tallies / totals for all pupils awarded the badge.

You can only delete a badge that has been approved. A badge Pending Approval or that has been Declined cannot be deleted. If a badge is awarded to multiple pupils at once, deleting the badge will remove it from all pupils (you cannot delete it for a subset of pupils to whom it was awarded). 

Prerequisites

  1. The badge you want to delete must be Approved

Instructions

From within Comms Hub, follow these steps to delete a badge:

  1. Select Approvals.
  2. Select Badges to open All Badges.
  3. Locate the badge you want to delete using search or the status filter (set to Approved) as needed.
  4. Select the Badge Type that has been approved to delete:

  6. When prompted, select Confirm to delete:

Outcome

You are returned to All Badges. The badge is deleted. A message confirms this:

The badge is removed from all tallies / totals, for the individual pupil(s), class(es) and year group(s).

In the example below, three pupils were awarded a badge. For each pupil, the badge is removed from each of their individual badge tallies / totals, and 3 badges are removed from their class tally / total after the deletion. This deduction, although not shown below, is also made to their year group badge tally / total.
