Overview
This article explains how to award a badge to one or more pupils through Comms Hub.
To save time, when working in the Comms Hub Home page / Dashboard and you have a single class assigned to you, select Class, then proceed to Step 4 of the instructions below. If you have multiple classes assigned to you, select Classes, then proceed to Step 3:
Instructions
From within Comms Hub, follow these steps to add a badge for one or more pupils:
- Select Awards and Activities.
- Select Classes.
- Select the pupils' Class.
- From within the Class:
Check one or more pupils to award a badge. You can select all pupils by checking the checkbox next to Name Selected.
If you tag multiple pupils when creating a badge, all parents of those pupil can react and comment. These comments are not private to their child, they will be visible to all parents of other children tagged in the badge.
If you would prefer parents were unable to see each other's reactions and comments, you must create a separate badge for each pupil.
- Select Award Badge.
- From Award Badge:
- Enter a Summary explaining why you are awarding the badge to the selected pupil(s).
- Optionally, select a Subject.
- Select the badge you want to award.
- Select Save.
Outcome
The badge will be added for the pupil. Depending on how your system is configured, it will either be instantly published or sent for approval, then subsequently published.
