MIS: How do I remove a pupil's medical flag?

Overview

This article explains how you can remove Medical Flag Notes that have been added to a pupil record automatically when you have added medical details. You may want to do this, for example, when you want to record a pupil as wearing spectacles, but do not want them to be listed as a pupil with a medical flag against their name. 

The following shows Medical Flag Notes before they are hidden in the pupil's record:

Open the pupil's medical record

From within Juniper MIS:

  1. Select Pupils.
  2. Select All Pupils.
  3. From All Pupils, locate the pupil whose medical details you want to open.
  4. Select the pupil's Full Name to open their Pupil record:

  5. From within the pupil's record, select Wellbeing, then select Medical:

    Alternatively, from the Overview page, select Medical Notes then when expanded, select View More.

Remove the pupil's medical flag 

From the pupil's medical record:

  1. Select Edit:
  2. From the Edit view, in the Emergency section, uncheck Pupil Medical Flag: 
  3. Select Save.

Outcome

The pupil's record will be updated immediately. A message confirms the update. The pupil's Medical Flag Notes are no longer listed in the Medical Notes drop-down in their record:

You can check Pupil Medical Flag at an point in the future to make the notes visible again.
