People First: How do I end a single role when an employee has multiple roles?

Overview

This article explains how to end a job role when an employee has multiple jobs within your organisation. 

Instructions

Follow these steps to end a job role where an employee has multiple job roles:

  1. Search for the person using the search bar, or locate them in the Organisation Chart and select their name.
  2. Select the Employment section in the Personal tab in their record:

  3. Select the expand icon to view the record full screen:
  4. Select the job role that you want to end from those listed (either select the card or View Job):
  5. From the Key actions pane, select Make this person a leaver from this job:
  6. From Leaver details:
     
    1. Select / enter the Leaving date.
    2. Select a Reason for Leaving.
    3. Check Make the job inactive on the leaving date? to close the job role.

      Job roles must always be closed when vacated. A new job must be created if a replacement is needed. For further information, see People First: How do I create a job?

    4. Select Create.

Outcome

The request will be process. The following message confirming this is displayed:

Within the employee's record, the Leaver information for the job is updated:
