Comms Hub: How do I edit an informal observation?

This article relates to informal observations, not Sonar observations (available to Sonar Tracker customers). If you edit an observation from Sonar Tracker within Comms Hub, the changes will not write back.

Overview

This article explains how users with the appropriate reviewer permissions can edit or update an unpublished informal observation sent for review or that they have created in Comms Hub.

Published observations cannot be edited.

Prerequisites

The informal observation that you want to edit must not have been published.
You must have the appropriate reviewer permissions to edit / update / make changes to informal observations.
Automatic Approvals must be disabled for informal observations (see Comms Hub: How do I enable / disable automatic approval of informal observations?).

Instructions

Follow these steps to edit an informal observation in Comms Hub:

Select Approvals.
Select Observations.
From All Observations, select the Title of the informal observation you want to edit:
Select Edit:
Make any changes to the Title, Description and Subject as required:
Select Next.
Review any images. Select an image to remove it from the informal observation. It will be overwritten with the word Removed, if it has been removed. If an image is removed, select it to reinstate it:
Select Next.
Remove any pupils as appropriate:
Select either Save to save a draft or Save & Publish.
