Sonar Tracker
This article is only relevant if you use stand-alone Sonar Tracker and have not yet migrated to the integrated version. If you don't know which version of Sonar Tracker you are using, see Sonar Tracker: Which version of Sonar Tracker am I using?
If you are using the integrated version of Sonar Tracker, see MIS: How do I export a CTF file? to learn how to create a CTF file through the Juniper MIS.
After you have entered all of your statutory data into Sonar Tracker (see Sonar Tracker: How do I enter / submit End of Year ELG / Phonics / Optional KS1, MTC and KS2 assessments?), you can create an export of this information as a CTF to import into your third-party MIS.
When the data is in your third-party MIS you can then submit it to your Local Authority. You cannot create a data return direct to your LA from Sonar Tracker, it needs to go into your MIS first.
Sonar Tracker: How do I export statutory end of key stage data from Sonar Tracker?
If you previously used Target Tracker you had two options:
- Create a CTF for your MIS.
- Create a CTF to send to the LA.
In Sonar the CTF that is created is for import into your third-party MIS, then from there you can create your data return for the LA/County. The reasoning behind this is:
- The data needs to be in your MIS anyway so this ensures this is done.
- Local Authorities have advised that they prefer the file to come from an MIS.
