Overview
This article explains how to create an Embargo User Group to ensure only users who should be able to view Embargo reports have access to them on the Embargo day.
Prerequisites
You must be an administrator.
Instructions
Follow the two steps below to create an Embargo User Group and update a user's authority:
- To create an Embargo User Group:
- Select USERS.
- Select Groups.
- Select Create Group.
- Enter a Group Name, for example, Embargo.
- Scroll down the page and locate View Embargo Reports.
- Check Embargo Reports enabling access to members of the group:

Optionally, if you plan to lock the report for a longer period, check View Locked Reports:

- Work through the remaining permissions on this page, by ticking any other areas this group should have access to.
- Select Create Group.
- To update one or more existing users' authority to your new Embargo group:
- Select USERS to open User List:
- Select
(the pencil / edit icon) next to the user whose Authority Group you want to change to your new Embargo group.
- Select the name of your Embargo group (for example, Embargo) as the Authority Group:
- Select Submit to save your changes:
- Repeat Step 2 - Step 4 for any other users who you want to add to your newly created Embargo group.
- Select USERS to open User List:
Outcome
The user(s) permissions will now be updated as they have been added to the Embargo group. They will be able to see the Embargo reports.
When creating users, if they require Embargo report access, assign your new group to users when creating or uploading them.
