Juniper Education: How do I add a news article as an urgent banner on my homepage?

Overview

This article explains how to set a news article as an urgent banner at the top of your homepage and pin it to the top of your news category. Viewers can select the homepage banner to view the news article. This can be useful in an emergency closure, for example, due to bad weather or snow. 

Instructions

From the news article that you want to use as an urgent banner and pin to the top of your news category:

  1. Select Priority from the Edit tab:
  2. Select Urgent:
  3. Select Save and choose the appropriate option.

Outcome

The news article's title and introductory text will appear as a banner at the top of your homepage. Viewers can select the banner to view the news article:

The news article will also be pinned to the top of your news category. It will display as pinned along with the publication date:
