Overview
This article explains how to embed a News or Blog Category into a webpage that will output a list of articles or posts. An example of news categories embedded on a page are displayed below:
Prerequisites
You must create a News/Blog Category and have created an article or post to embed on the page.
Instructions
- Select Components in the Edit tab:
- Select the Website Content > News Category or Website Content > Blog Category
- The Add Component window opens:
- To display a title above your component, check Include Title, and enter the title text.
- Select Browse to open a tree view of your site from which you can select the news or blog category. Select the item you would like to embed into your page, then select Select.
- Enter the number of news items / blog posts to display by entering a number in Limit.
- Optionally, change the Sort Order. By default, the news items / blog posts will be displayed in the order they were created. You can select to order them by date or alphabetically.
- Optionally, to only show news items /blog posts within a specific date range, set the Start and End date (otherwise leave them blank).
- Select OK.
Outcome
The news category or blog category is added to your webpage.
