Juniper Websites: How do I share / unshare a news story with other linked Juniper Websites?

Overview

This article explains how you can share a news story hosted on your Juniper Website with another Juniper Website, for example, the website of another school in your MAT. This means you don't have to write or update the same news story multiple times.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites

  1. The Linked Site Sharing feature must be enabled to use this functionality.

    If you manage a group of websites, for example, across a MAT and want to use the Linked Site Sharing feature, contact us to enable it.

Share a news story

Follow these steps to share a news story with a linked website.

  1. Open the news story you want to share.

  2. From the Edit menu, select Share News:

  3. Select the website you want to share the story with from the list of sites on the left of the Share News pane:

  4. Select the news category from those listed, where you want the story to be displayed on that website:

  5. Select Share. A Please wait while we share this item of content message is displayed, then a confirmation message explains that the item has been shared with the selected website:

  6. Repeat the Step 3 to Step 5 above if you want to share with other Juniper Websites that your site is linked to.

  7. After linking to all of the sites that you want to, select Confirm to close the pane:

The content is now shared for you on the websites you selected.

You can only edit a shared news story from the website it was originally created on.

Stop sharing a news story

Follow these steps to stop sharing a news story with a linked website.

  1. Go to the news story you want to stop sharing.

  2. From the Edit menu, select Stop Sharing:

  3. Check each Juniper Website that you want to stop sharing with:

  4. Select Stop Sharing. The window closes and the news story is no longer shared with those sites you selected.
