Overview
This article explains how to remove the urgent banner at the top of your homepage that is promoting a news article. You will want to do this when the news item does not need to be promoted.
When completing this task you can optionally leave the news article pinned to the top of the news category.
Instructions
Locate and open the news article that is being linked to from the urgent banner:
- Select Priority from the Edit tab:
- Select either Default or Pinned:
- Select Default to remove the banner and unpin the news article from the top of its news category.
- Select Pinned to remove the banner but keep the news article pinned at the top of its news category.
- Select Save and choose the appropriate option.
Outcome
The banner will be removed from the homepage.
Where Pinned was selected, the news article will remain pinned to the top of your news category.
