Juniper Websites: Creating a News Banner and Pinning a News Story

Using the Priority option on the Page Editing toolbar, you can set an important news article to remain at the top of your news category using the Pinned news Priority option. You can also turn your news article into a news banner on your homepage.  This can be useful in an emergency closure, for example, due to bad weather or snow.

  1. Navigate to the area of your website where your news article resides or create a new article following the steps outlined in the guide Creating a News Article or Blog Post.
  2. Open the article.
  3. Click the Priority button on the Edit tab and you'll be greeted with the options: Default, Pinned and Urgent.
  4. Select Pinned if you have an important news article which you would like to remain at the top of your news category.
  5. Select Urgent. if you have an urgent news story which you would like to display prominently within a banner on your homepage.
  6. To reset the article and unpin it, return to the news story. Now click on ‘priority’ and select ‘DEFAULT’ and save the article as normal.
