Sonar Tracker: Primary Summative Progress Analysis Report

Overview

This article provides an overview of the Primary Summative Progress Analysis report's purpose, guidance on how to access it, the various types of information it contains, and the different controls that help you customise what you see in the report.

Purpose

The Primary Summative Progress Analysis report lets you identify the progress your pupils are making between two points in time both as a group and individually. This enables you to monitor the progress your pupils have made and identify any pupils of concern that are not making the amount of progress that you would expect. Following identification, you can put in place supporting interventions. For example, a pupil may be assessed as Just At at the first Assessment Point, but then assessed as Below in the second Assessment Point. Depending on the individual child's circumstances, this could indicate that they require additional support to reach their potential.

When the report is run, by default, you are presented with a tabular and graphical overview for the selected group of pupils in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. Each subject is broken into Progress Bands (Below Progress, Expected Progress and Above Expected Progress). The two default points in time are the last Assessment Period in the previous Academic Year and the current Assessment Period.

Where the selected group of pupils has one or more pupils that have no assessment data associated with them in one or more subjects, a No Assessments banding is also displayed.

Under the overview table, there is a more detailed table that lists each pupil and their summative assessment for the two periods and an indicator of their overall progress.

Opening the page
