Overview
This article explains how to remove dashes (-) from Combined Science exam results, where awarding bodies release their results in a format using dashes, for example, 6-5, 5-5 and 5-4. Sisra Analytics cannot import these files. Instead, it requires the grades to be formatted without the dashes, for example, 65, 55, and 54, with the higher grade before the lower one, for example, 65, not 56.
You must remove dashes from the results provided by the awarding body before attempting to upload them to Sisra Analytics.
Combined Science (awarded double 9-1 grades) should be set up as one qualification, using an EAP with a Split / Double Grade Method. If you have this set up as two separate single award Science qualifications on your Matching page, your figures will not be calculated in line with the DfE. For information on how to set this up accurately, seeĀ Sisra Analytics: KS4 Grade Method Examples - Double GCSE 9-1, AS Level, Short Course & Unreformed A*-G (Admin).
