Sonar Multi-School: EYFS Subjects Overview Widget

Purpose

Accessed from the Dashboard in Sonar Multi-School, the EYFS Subjects Overview Widget highlights the percentage of pupils across the multi-school environment whose Summative Assessment for the Combined (GLD or All Goals) measures for the current Assessment Period is either At or Above ARE, along with any change in percentage compared to the previous Assessment Period. By selecting View Report, you can view the Early Years Subjects report.

Information:  Calculations are based only on those pupils with assessment data. Pupils without assessment data are not included in calculations.

Information:  The EYFS Subjects Overview Widget is only available for those users who are part of an establishment that comprises multiple schools in Sonar Tracker (for example, a Multi Academy Trust) and have the appropriate permission associated with their User ID to access Sonar Multi-School content.

Description

On or Above - Combined (GLD) / Combined (All Goals)

The percentage of pupils across your Trust, whose Combined (GLD) Summative Assessment / Combined (All Goals) Summative Assessmentfor the current Assessment Period is either On or Above ARE. This is calculated as follows:

Combined (GLD) % On or Above =
(Number of pupils where their Combined (GLD) assessment is either On or Above across the Trust ÷ Total number of pupils with a Combined (GLD) assessment across the Trust) x 100

Combined (All Goals) % On or Above =
(Number of pupils where their Combined (All Goals) assessment is either On or Above across the Trust ÷ Total number of pupils with a Combined (All Goals) assessment across the Trust) x 100

Information:  The percentage is calculated only based on those pupils who have assessment data. Any pupils without assessment data are not included in the calculation.

On or Above - Change in Percentage

A number in the range of -100 to 100 indicating the change in percentage of pupils whose Summative Assessment for the selected Subject or combination of Subjects in this Assessment Period is either At or Above ARE, compared to that of the previous Assessment Period. This is shown to one decimal place) calculated as follows:

When the percentage change is displayed in green, it shows an increase (improvement) in the percentage between the two Assessment Periods.

When the percentage change is displayed in red, it shows decrease (degradation) in the percentage between the two Assessment Periods.

Information:  Where no summative assessment data has been entered for the current Assessment Period, for example, at the start of a new Assessment Period, ~ 0 is displayed (as change between the previous and current Assessment Periods cannot yet be calculated).

Combined (GLD) (where the School is using Goals to record non-statutory Summative Attainment)

The percentage of pupils whose Summative Assessment for the current Assessment Period is either On or Above for all of the Goals that make up the GLD measure. Additionally, the change in the percentage is displayed below the percentage. The 12 ELGs used to measure Combined (GLD) are:

  • Listening, Attention, and Understanding.
  • Speaking.
  • Self-Regulation.
  • Managing Self.
  • Building Relationships.
  • Gross Motor Skills.
  • Fine Motor Skills.
  • Comprehension.
  • Word Reading.
  • Writing.
  • Number.
  • Number Patterns.

Combined (GLD) (where the School is using Aspects to record non-statutory Summative Attainment)

The percentage of pupils whose Summative Assessment for the current Assessment Period is either On or Above for all five Aspects that make up the GLD measure. Additionally, the change in the percentage is displayed below the percentage. The Aspects used to measure Combined (GLD) are:

  • Communication and Language.
  • Literacy.
  • Mathematics.
  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
  • Physical Development.

Combined (All Goals) (where the School is using Goals to record non-statutory Summative Attainment)

The percentage of pupils whose Summative Assessment for the current Assessment Period is either On or Above for all of the EYFS Goals. Additionally, the change in the percentage is displayed below the percentage. All 17 ELGs that are used in this measure are:

  • Listening, Attention, and Understanding.
  • Speaking.
  • Self-Regulation.
  • Managing Self.
  • Building Relationships.
  • Gross Motor Skills.
  • Fine Motor Skills.
  • Comprehension.
  • Word Reading.
  • Writing.
  • Number.
  • Number Patterns.

The percentage of pupils whose Summative Assessment for the current Assessment Period is either On or Above for all seven Aspects. Additionally, the change in the percentage is displayed below the percentage. All 17 ELGs that are used in this measure are:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development.

  • Understanding the World.
