Sonar Multi-School: Primary Subjects Overview Widget

Sonar Multi-School

Purpose

Accessed from the Summative Dashboard in Sonar Multi-School, the Primary Subjects Overview Widget highlights the percentage of pupils across your Trust whose Summative Assessment for Reading, Writing, Mathematics, or Combined (RWM), for the current Assessment Period, is either At or Above ARE, along with any change in percentage compared to the previous Assessment Period. By selecting View Report, you can view the Primary Subjects report.

Calculations are based only on pupils with assessment data. Pupils without assessment data are not included in calculations.

The Primary Subjects Overview Widget is only available to users who are part of an establishment that comprises multiple schools in Sonar Tracker, for example, a Multi Academy Trust, and have the appropriate permission associated with their user ID to access Sonar Multi-School content.

Elements

Field name Description
On or Above - Percentage

The percentage of pupils in your Trust whose Summative Assessment for the selected subject (or combined subjects), for the current Assessment Period, is either At or Above ARE (shown to one decimal place), calculated as follows:

Subject % On or Above = (Number of pupils where their subject assessment is either At or Above in your Trust รท Total number of pupils with a subject assessment in your Trust) x 100

The percentage is calculated only based on pupils who have assessment data. Pupils without assessment data are not included in the calculation.

On or Above - Change in Percentage

A number in the range of 0 to 100 indicating the change in percentage of pupils whose Summative Assessment for the selected subject or combination of subjects in this Assessment Period is either At or Above ARE, compared to the previous Assessment Period. This is shown to one decimal place, calculated as follows:

Change in Percentage = Subject % On or Above for Current Assessment Period - Subject % On or Above for Previous Assessment Period

When the percentage change shows an overall improvement, this is displayed in green with an up arrow. When the percentage change shows an overall decrease, this is displayed in red with a down arrow.

Where no summative assessment data has been entered for the current Assessment Period, for example, at the start of a new Assessment Period, ~ 0 is displayed, because the change between the previous and current Assessment Periods cannot yet be calculated.

Subject name or Combined (RWM) The name of the subject (or Combined (RWM)) for which the percentage of pupils whose Summative Assessment for the current Assessment Period is either On or Above is displayed. The change in percentage is also displayed below the percentage.
